Person record: PAGE, Fid (1850- ? )
|Basic biographical summary of this person
|Full name||Fiddes Augustus PAGE|
|Relevance of this person||lantern slide painter |
|Main period of activity||N/A|
His entry in the 1871 Census gives his place of birth as Vienna, Austria, and his age as 27 rather than 21. However two of his sisters are also given incorrect ages and places of birth, so this appears to be erroneous or 'creative' information supplied to the census enumerator.
A Fiddes Page emigrated to the USA c.1890, and worked in theatre companies. This is probably the same person, in which case he died on 12 February 1930 at Bronx, New York.
